Sassa SRD Grant 2022 Application Process

Sassa SRD Grant – Application Process

The Special Relief of Distress (SRD) grant is a form of disaster relief paid to people in need. It provides monthly payments that can be used to cover essential household expenses.

The SRD grant is managed by the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa). The grant was established after a series of natural disasters struck the country in 2018. It was created to help those affected by these disasters cope with the financial impact of their losses.

The Special Relief of Distress (SRD) grant is now managed under the Social Assistance Act and not the State of Disaster Act as we are no longer under the National State of Disaster. So how will SRD grant applications work now?

The SRD grant is due to come to an end in March 2023. Every month, Sassa R350 grant applications are open for those wanting to apply.
