Sustainable Environment Management Action (SEMA) is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Singida that works to fight poverty by improving health, education, WASH services, agriculture, and environmental degradation in the rural areas of poor and marginalised communities. It was signed on March 10, 1998, under the society’s ordinance cap 337. On March 9, 2006, the organisation also got a certificate of compliance for a non-government act no. 20 made under Section 11(3) of 2002.

The Enhanced Livelihoods through Commercial Agricultural Production (ELCAP) Project is being run by SEMA and the Stromme Foundation (SF) in three Tanzanian districts: Ikungi, Iramba, and Manyoni. The main goal of the project is to improve the lives of small-scale farmers and their families in a long-term way by making sure they have enough food, giving them more ways to make money, and creating jobs.

SEMA gives advice and keeps an eye on the building of wells, boreholes, and rainwater collection systems, among other types of water supply systems. This includes water surveys, planning, designing, and building groundwater sources for both household and business use.
