Phase 4 Opens for Education Assistant Applications

Phase IV applications for the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative (PYEI) in the Basic Education sector commenced today and will end on October 16, 2022.

The Department of Basic Education said on Sunday that Phase IV will provide work chances to 255 100 youngsters across nine provinces in about 20 000 public ordinary schools and schools for learners with special education requirements (LSEN).

“Phase IV arrives at a time when the country’s youth have reaped the advantages of almost 850 000 employment opportunities combined with training provided throughout this project.” The applications will be formally available on September 26, 2022, and will conclude on October 16, 2022. “This allows every youngster three weeks to apply,” the agency said.

All youth between the ages of 18 and 34 who live within a 5-kilometer radius of a school are encouraged to register on SAYouth.mobi and apply for the Education Assistant and General School Assistant employment opportunities.

“Access to SAYouth.mobi is free for youth because the site is zero-rated.” There will be no applications at schools, according to the agency.

The opportunities have been distributed as follows among provinces:
